Kaiki Camp
This project was created in response to a recent ill-conceived regulation that threatens a piece of Hellenic heritage. In response to overfishing, the European Union has been paying 6,000 to 260,000 euros to fishermen to cut their boats in half.

Kaiki Camp is an innovative project that combines ecotourism with cultural preservation. By reimagining traditional Greek fishing boats as floating cabanas, the project not only provides unique accommodation options for visitors but also revives an ancient craft and brings attention to a pressing issue in the region.
The project's use of modern technology and centuries-old boat building techniques is a testament to the importance of preserving traditional skills and crafts in the face of modern challenges. By showcasing the artistry and expertise of the Greek boat builders, the project is helping to ensure that this important aspect of Greek civilization is not lost.
In addition, Kaiki Camp's efforts to raise awareness about the threat to traditional boat building is an important step towards preserving this cultural heritage. Through education and advocacy, the project is helping to create a greater appreciation for the importance of these traditions and the need to protect them for future generations.
