Repurposing life jackets can be a sustainable and socially responsible way to create new products while reducing waste and conserving resources. It can also create opportunities for community engagement and economic development.
Industrial Design
The conflict in the Middle East has led refugees to abandon thousands of life jackets on Greek shores. In an effort to address this issue, this project explores repurposing these life jackets into bags, which can be sold in museums. The profits from the sales will be directed towards raising awareness for the refugee crisis and supporting integration programs.
